Jamalpur Divisional Office is one of the most important divisional offices of the Department of Posts. There are 12 (twelve) upazila post offices, 17 (seventeen) sub post offices and 332 (three hundred and thirty two) branch offices and 4 (four) ED sub post offices under the jurisdiction of this office. More than 1000 (one thousand) employees are working in this office.
The administrative activities of Jamalpur District Post Office are controlled from this office. The title of Head of Department is Deputy Postmaster General (Senior Scale Officer). Administrative activities of 10 different categories of post offices including Tangail Head Post Office are controlled from this office. . Jamalpur Head Post Office is controlled by Assistant Post Master General.
